Blue Eyes.

Woke late this morning - must have needed a good long sleep. Nothing better than waking up to the smell of freshly baked bread, toasting while still warm and spreading with far too much butter and jam! Baby F is also very amusing to watch in the morning, as he is only just learning to pick things up and successfully put them in his mouth - the dogs are always on guard to snaffle up any stray pieces of toast or banana.

It was grey and rainy all day today... the kind of sheeting rain which doesn't look heavy but would comprehensively soak you the minute you stepped outside. Luckily A and I both had our 50 Shades of Grey (rather apt) to read, and Baby F is always a source of much entertainment :) Before we knew it, it was 5pm and A put on the fire (seriously - JULY?) while we cosied up with Million Pound Drop and a lovely veggie-and-cheese bake.

My kindle battery died (I can't remember the last time I had to charge it, it lasts so well), which is a most cruel and unusual punishment when you're reading a book you're totally engrossed in, so I sent M a quick 'goodnight' email and headed off to bed.

A day spent cosying up, reading a book, eating cake with coffee, cuddling the world's sweetest baby, wearing comfy clothes. PERFECTION, after a week like mine.
