On the Marshes

A 36km circuit today from Akaslompolo to Tammitupa and back. Where we ski normally is in amongst the Yllas fells. Occasionally we get a chance to ski out across the marshes to the east and then look back at the fells from a distance. Here is StorksRock and the view back towards them.

It was a long day and getting dark on our return and getting cold SR's ski binding froze shut - and we had a layer of rime on our rucksacks and kit by the time we got back, so we were glad to get inside for a sauna to warm up.
