It is Friday

This is a very special sketch because it is of virtuoso reed player Dave Lee and his lovely daughter with the richest of voices, last night at Burgundy's in Kendal. Joining them were Pete Major on keyboards and vocals, Peter Boocock on drums and a new guy with a great future ahead of him, Harrison Wood on bass guitar.

Dave was so proud of Fran, who has blossomed in the last 6 months or so to become a very confident singer developing her own style and her version of Georgia - well, I had to just stop painting and listen. And then she sang it's wonderful, it's marvelous - gorgeous - and if you are interested sung here by Diana Krall. Another great night and I only wish I could tell you Ted's update on the high points from Samantha's week.
