Swimming the Channel

I'm indebted to @wathingsmecca on Twitter for my title. 
I went to buy some supplies for my next felting projects, and as the supplier is not far from RSPB Old Moor, I thought I'd make a day of it. There have been recent sighting of new birds to the reserve - Bearded Tits. No joy on that score, but instead I was lucky enough to get a great sighting of that most elusive of birds, the Bittern, as it made a dash from one reedbed to another via a clear channel. There were a number of Snipe out in the open, a couple of Whooper Swans and Oystercatchers, all of which I've put in extras.
