Bikes and Museums

The weather turned cold and miserable on us, so our plans for lazing by the hostel pool went out the window! We hired bikes to explore the outer Luang Prabang, away from all the tourists. We rode out to a local village through the forest and over old wooden bridges which gave Cameron the bike wobbles haha.

That afternoon the local cultural museum had a free tour so that was enough for us to take a look. We actually enjoyed the museum and learnt a lot about Lao people and there traditions and lifestyles. Such a contrast to the western world. They still practice many old traditions, including the sewing and wearing of traditional dress.
