Night markets
This is the most exciting thing that happens in this town! The Main Street closes down and there are 50 market stalls selling much of the same thing. The vibe is lovely and the locals here are beautiful and conservative people who don't pressure or scream at you to buy things. I bought a beautiful scarf as the weaving is the main income from the local villages around here, I also got a cute singlet with an elephant on it. This is where we eat our dinner each night - we have two favourites already. One stall pictured here is an all you can eat buffet of vegetarian dishes for $2 each and you get to fill up your bowl as much as you want! The other is containers of spring rolls or noodles for $1.50 which the lady heats up for you when you pick your noodle type and add meat if you wish! We alternate each night, sitting in the side of the street watching the tourists flock to the markets.
