2016 Friday -- Crescent Bay, Laguna Beach
After attending an afternoon funeral in the Orange County City of Orange, the two of us drove a little south and west to Laguna to walk our three pups who had been in the car. We parked a street north of Crescent Bay and walked out onto the beautiful city park and to the overlook spaces to see the favorite little cove where we spent hours with our two children when they were youngsters.
It is a place filled with sparkling memories; ones that make our spines tingle. We think it is one of the most beautiful beaches in southern California.
Then we drove to our favorite little Italian restaurant: Salerno. There in Laguna we enjoyed another evening of reminiscing about the moments and hours 51 years ago. All day long we said the song title to each other that Carole King and her husband Gerry Goffin penned "Will You Love Me Tomorrow." We have both found it comforting to have learned last week while watching the Carole King Tribute that they, too, were pregnant when they got married. And their song, "Will You Love Me Tomorrow," was the one that first made them famous.
We've had a couple really good days, even though I have almost no voice.
Good night from Southern California,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
