Act of Faith

We had the persimmon tree pruned. Or restored, as they say. It was a lovely tree, but the problem was that the canopy kept getting higher and higher, with absolutely no growth below head height. The fruit could only be accessed with a ladder and/or long reach pruners. Frankly, we are too old to clamber around six feet off the ground. If we're not careful we'll be six feet under ground. So the guy said he's done this before. Many times. There should be new growth at every cut, and soon we will have a user friendly tree. At least that's our plan. I hope the tree agrees.
