to Pack a Picture
The oil painting, the reverse of which, is shown here is destined to be restored and cleaned by a very capable technician down in Cornwall.
First however it has to be shipped there. It just so happens that I will be travelling over to Gloucestershire next weekend. This is an ideal opportunity for the picture to begin its journey.
I have now taken the picture out of its frame and it has been boxed.
Those living in the Lake District will be familiar with Easedale Tarn, which is written on the canvas.
I wonder what else the artist may have written that is currently obscured by the large patch on the canvas.
