to Enter the Lions Den
I had been asked by the primary school, attended by my grand-son Ffynlo, to give the reception class a talk and demonstration about bee-keeping.
So today was the day to do it. There must have been about twenty young children in the class. Almost from the moment it began, the children started asking questions and this made it very easy for me. I was glad to hear that there were a couple of children whose grand parents also keep bees.
When the questions were in danger of going off course the class teacher would also ask a question or two which steered us neatly back on course.
An hour went very quickly indeed.
Oh, and I have been asked to return to give a talk to the next class up. They are making a study of insects.
It will come as no surprise at all that Ffynlo, seen here, was today put in charge of looking after the lecturer!
