Or possibly just colour, but as someone said yesterday, she does have a very expressive face for one so young (10 months).

A surprise visitor yesterday, Matthew who only let us know mid afternoon that he was coming home for a couple of days. We promptly cancelled badminton and will take him out for dinner tonight. It's only a few weeks before he leaves for France again, so we have to make the most of the time that we have with him. Oh, and in 2 weeks time, he is paddling round the Isle of Wight (around the coast, not inland). Needless to say his mum will worry sick about him for those 2 days.

Not sure how the subject came up but Rosina mentioned the Australian Aborigine's objections to Australia day. She basically said that Harry's dad would beat him to a pulp if he celebrated it. I don't quite think so but I know what she means and it is something that I hadn't considered before. Having done so, I can see their point of view. History is full of such injustices sadly.
