Meet The Ancestors Part 2
As I Blipped my Grandfathers on the 12th February, I struggled to know who to introduce you to today. I had a rummage through my old photographs and found my Great Grandparents, Job and Sarah Grosvenor.
As you can see, Sarah was rather small but apparently she kept my Great Grandfather on his toes!
I've added a collection of ancestral treasures. Nothing of any great value but priceless to me. The red Parker pen belonged to my late father and I remember him offering it to me when I was a small child. I've had a love of pens ever since and now my eldest Daughter is exactly the same.
Amongst the trinkets is a wooden spinning top, which he also gave me. There is an ivory letter opener which belonged to him and a very small ivory dog on a keyring which belonged to my Grandfather's brother. I think I must have been about 6 when Great Uncle Wilf gave it to me.
There are three brooches which belonged to my Grandmother. She loved costume jewellery and I do have quite a few pieces of hers but I've put them in a 'safe place' and now I can't find them :))
I've thoroughly enjoyed seeing the old photos for this challenge. Thanks to MrsLinda for setting this one.
