In a country churchyard...
Back into the now familiar routine of the college week - report writing, followed by a visit to Sainsbury's in Stamford and then a pleasant stroll round Ryhall, where I again ended up in the chuchyard, which is currently lit up with swathes of daffodils and primroses.
In the late afternoon Pete, Alex and I spent an hour or so in the garden, where we're having a major re-modelling, including removal of plants that have outgrown their spaces and re-planting with more appropriate species, creating more stone walls, tackling the ivy that's got out of hand over the last few years and restoring several ponds. It was still just about light when we packed up at quarter to six, and I heard a blackbird singing, tentatively trying out his voice, tuning-up for the spring ahead.
