Bright, breezy and bitter!!

We both slept well, despite me starting with a cold yesterday evening :-/

We'd committed to going out today as the forecast looked promising.....as it turned out, it was a bright and breezy morning. So off we went to the coast for a blustery buffeting. As you can see there wasn't too many brave souls walking up the pier today.....by the time we got to the end, we were more than ready for a coffee, the wind stung our faces, and hub literally had to hang onto his hat!

All you north west based blippers will known where we were I'm sure ;-)

We spent a lovely couple of hours wandering around and once we were sheltered from the wind it was really quite pleasant :-)

We stopped off at Sootys garden centre on our way home so,hub could pick up some first earlier (potatoes that is) and we had lunch in their recently opened cafe, aptly names Sweeps :-) we both had a lovely Ploughmans and a pot of tea. Somewhere to visit again for sure.

We also stopped off at another garden centre and bought hubs birthday present; some new Sketchers for our May cruise, and a new pair of slippers.........of course I got a little something too! A pair of black boots with furry insides, in the sale too, a bargain!!

We also got a couple of trays of primulas as quite a few of ours are looking tatty and eaten already!!

Hope my cold doesn't develop into anything more, as we have a busy week ahead, fingers crossed :-/
