A slow blip day
The wife was on a mission today to rid the shower cubicle of layers of limescale that have accumulated over time. A never ending battle with our hard water. Vinegar seems to be the solvent of choice, especially white vinegar. Here the shower head is soaking in a solution of vinegar and water. Removed the scale, which was going green too, but also removed the layer of material beneath it.
I pruned the apple tree in the afternoon, it's a marvellous old specimen which produces more apples than we can every managed and despite our mistreatment, seems to come back every year. Hopefully it will do this time too.
Dinner was roast pork, with roast parsnips and roast potatoes and veg followed by semolina. Now there's a blast from the past.
