Don't Be Jelly
Pink chalk message scrawled on the sidewalk on Cannery Row.
Nearby is a beautiful cove frequented by scuba divers. And a sandy beach. And a boat marina. And a bike and walking path. And a green grass park. And some fountains.
This area once had many canneries that canned 200,000 tons of sardines per year. John Steinbeck wrote about the bustling life of international characters who populated the row.
Now, the area has been transformed into a stunning beach front that attracts tourists to its pristine beauty.
I have the pleasure of visiting whenever I like. Yes, I know I'm lucky. That's why I can relate to this message.
