Theme

Following the theme started yesterday here is another blip about food. These are roasting potatoes of course and there is rosemary in there and salt, of course.

Otherwise it's not been a particularly busy day. I've done a smidgeon of web design with some hand-brewed HTML. I also watched the football which wasn't particularly great as City sent out the youth team in order to rest players for games during the week. I'm rather old-fashioned about such stuff and I far prefer that they had given the FA Cup more respect but I'm also pragmatic enough to know that doing well in the European competitions is more important.

I've also done some work but probably not as much as I needed to - isn't that rather the way the world works? But I've still done enough to feel virtuous in comparison with any and all who might have been either gadding or gallivanting today. I'm sure that I don't know anyone reckless enough to have embarked on any attempt to do both!

Tonight will be exciting though - Vera on ITV and, at 21:00, the new John le Carré. It's going to be a night of radio silence and being very choosy.
