A long day, but a good one.
Chanonry Point after breakfast. A good beach walk but no dolphins around. Cromarty after that - coffee and a walk around the village.
Culloden Moor then, to visit the 1746 battlefield. A few Taylors buried there (on the Jacobite side, naturally).
On the subject of battles, the next stage was a 2 hour drive south on the A9. Gee whizz.
Got to our B&B at Ballinluig just in time to go out for dinner at Howie’s Bistro in Dunkeld. I ate too much, to compensate for not being able to drink. Dr D added Edradour to her list of favourite malts.
The Blip is the Sutors which guard the entrance to the Cromarty Firth. Yes, we were lucky with the weather.
