Poor lamb?
Tirthan valley - Shoja village I believe.
An amazing welcome - very lovely open people and an amazing culture. We stopped, literally, at the end of the road.. We all waved excitedly as we sped past the first bulldozer, beamed past the next lorry - but had to reverse & park once we hit the digger (not physically) that was digging the road up to the village above. In their final heydeys, the baskets on wires that criss cross the region's skies still ferry their sacks of rice and flour up to the remote villages. Run using water containers as opposing ballast, these are surely not going to be used, once the digger arrives in the village.
The girl was caring, one to one, for the lamb, born blind. A beaming smile - this day, over all others, I was spoilt by smiling, confident, unselfconscious women wanting to have their pictures taken. But only room for one in this blip universe - so the lucky lamb got it.
