Stick And A Hat

I'm not sure if my three year old grandson is the only child that calls Thursdays, '"Stick and a hat Thursday". For a long time, I had absolutely no idea what he was talking about and then his Mum explained that the first letter of every day of the week, has a name. The letter T apparently looks like a stick with a hat! Tenuous....but if it works, who am I to question it?

I prefer his other name for Thursdays....yellow pants Thursday :)) A different colour pair for every week day. No idea why there weren't any for weekends in the pack. Bare bottom Saturday and Sunday just doesn't seem right.

You may have gathered that Mckenzie has been staying with me since our birthday meal, yesterday. It's half term and the nursery is closed. I felt brave enough to take him into town this afternoon. He was very well behaved (most of the time) but at one point I wish that the earth could have swallowed me whole....

A pretty young girl was sat on a bench, wearing gothic clothing and minding her own business. She obviously caught the attention of my inquisitive 3 year old grandson and so he stared and he stared. As we were along side her, he turned to me and said, "That's the Wicked Witch. I don't like the Wicked Witch!" She didn't see the funny side.

I've waffled on a bit tonight....my apologies. This is my Thursday contribution to the AT challenge. It started off life as an image from my garden this evening. A bit of fartnarkling and hey presto....something that reminds me of an alien creature from the film The Abyss.

PS. Monday is Up Down, Up Down, Tuesday is Stick and a Hat, Wednesday is Down Up, Down Up and Friday is Fishy Fishy Friday.

PPS. I've no idea why my 730 Blip has disappeared again but thank you once again for all the wonderful hearts, stars and comments. Very much appreciated :))
