Beady Eye
I spotted this blackbird racing across the lawn, with head down towards the patio, so I grabbed my camera and lay down on the dining room floor. I inched carefully, closer and closer to the patio window, until the lens was only a couple of inches away from the glass.
All the while, she had been pecking at seeds between the paving slabs and had not noticed me. She then looked up, I grabbed this shot and she carried on eating! I thought that she might have been spooked but no.
I took almost 100 shots of her but I liked the light on her eye and the side of her beak in this one.
