Dog otter

Quite far for a photo but anyway...this is the male of the otter family that has been seen quite a bit around the Brig o' Waithe recently. It was sunny but with a biting wind there today and I watched for a couple of hours as the female caught mainly butterfish (it appeared) and the two youngsters messed about on the shore. A heron was keeping close to the otters, probably looking to steal food or pick up the leftovers.
