A TREE IN THE REINHARDSWALD

Again a sunny day, at least in the morning.
I started with a bit of work in the garden, and after that reading on the balcony. An interestin book on the Impressionist painters. A subject I had neglected in earlier times, if I may say so.
After lunch we decided to drive the little distance to the Eisenbahnerheim, mostly because it is really a climb. I carried two carrots one for Paule and one for Beauty, that is if they happened to be  in the walled field. And they were. They had not forgotten us. Although they were busy eating of their hay, they came to us and accepted the carrot.
From there our path went up rather steep to the Brandenberg. On top we sat on a bench, the sun was hidden behind light clouds. We saw a deer running away from us.
We followed the path that goes to Helmarshausen for a while and then took a wide path to the left. At the end of that path I saw this lobe tree, standing in the middle of the path, at both sides surrendered by dark firwood.
We heard the sound of the helicopter which is busy scattering chalk there from above. Where we walked they had already finished, we certainly did not want to be covered by it.
My extra photo shows how the helicopter does the job.
At some point we had to descend, and stayed for a moment at the Charlottenstein, a little stone building, that once we guess, had a beautiful view over the Weser valley, but now the trees prevent this.
Soon enough it started to drizzle and we found a queer end of the day,
I have to add that we had never seen so many tracks of boars who had grubbed up the earth searching for food.

My haiku:

Entering the woods
One can smell the mystery
And become part of it

And the proverb:

Naboth's Vineyard.

(= the coveted possession of a neighbour)
