A Summer Snap
They said there could be some heavy showers today. They say that most days.
Today they were 100% correct. This was what one of the heavy showers looked like from about six miles away. Half an hour earlier and a heavy shower would have been right above me. Another hour and a half and there was the most almighty hail storm for ten minutes, leaving everything covered in half and inch of ice.
I had to walk a mile to school a few minutes afterwards. The hail meted very quickly, but left with it roads, pavements, paths, drive and ditches full of water. I was continually having to cross roads to avoid huge puddles.
Admittedly nothing like what some parts of the country have seen, but for goodness sake, this is July:)
This is a three frame panorama, originally raw files, converted in Lightroom to jpgs, then quickly stitched together in Microsoft ICE, imported to Photoshop and some nice B&W Topaz filters applied.
