Sunshine and flowers.

At last this lily seems about to flower. About 3 weeks later than last year.
(I wonder why!)
A day of sunshine at last!
Gardening all day and am absolutely shattered!

Started by moving 38 pots from the patio in front of the house so that we could clean the stone paving which was completely green and slimy due to the wet weather. We usually clean it in winter, and have never had to do it in summer before, and I have never known it get so bad. Treacherous to walk on! (Didn't want the postman falling and breaking a leg!)
It took us two hours with a power washer to clean it all!
Then had to move the table and chairs and all the pots back, oh and the bird table . (Forgot that had to be moved as well!)

Then it was time to tackle the tangled mass over the front door, and kitchen window. Also climbers on the fence.
We now have 4 large bin liners full to take to the recycle "tip". A fir tree needs cutting back too but didn't have the energy, and it was already 7pm.

Have just had a nice hot bath, and hair wash, and it will be an early night, as tomorrow we have a 7 mile walk from Burnsall , with our walking group.
It's about a month since we saw them all. At the moment I don't think I could walk farther than the gate and back!
