End of an era...

Cold,windy and eventually wet.
One on mucking out a shed ready to scan the hill ewes on Friday. The other on mucking and bedding cattle here.
The dealers arranged to bring the new (to me) tractor and loader today,so a panic dig in the nettles to find the loader and buckets for the ones I have traded in.Managed to find all the other bits and pieces like draw bars, top links, books and reg documents.
It nearly brought a tear to my eye loading them both onto the lorry as the Ford 4000 was the first tractor I drove when at school. We bought it new in 1974,and the Ford 4600 was new in 1978 and cost £7260 (including VAT at 8%)
The one that was delivered is only75Hp but 10Hp more than both the ones that went away. If it lasts for 42 years it should see me out !
