Framing Memories
My trip to Cambodia last year is something I've held close to heart. It gave me the opportunity to see sights that stopped my tongue and my heart, meet people that marked my life and brought me closer to my friends.
I didn't go shopping-crazy while on vacation. Brought back only this rubbed paper as a momento for myself. I read that it's best not to buy sculptures while there due to possible illegal artifacts trade and that rubbing paper was the better option. I recall squatting down at a shop looking through leaves of parchment, patiently choosing the right colour / scene combo.
Finally framed it in the Ikea frame purchased two days ago. I've recently been taken by a need to have plants and pictures at home. Guess my selfies could find some use.
