Faded romance

This was once such a beautiful house- an old manse: all ogee windows, Gothic arches, diamond panes, wooden shutters and layers of colours, now crumbling steadily. A spot of faded grandeur for Valentine's Day. Thanks to TMLHereAndThere for hosting DS for the next four weeks.

What a gorgeous day! I have just staggered in from the garden and how nice to be out working in the fresh air. So much to do - the brambles are massive but at least I can see where they're starting from so have been clearing away like mad. My arms are shredded but I had my own little musical accompaniment throughout - Chirp had a brilliant time and is in fine voice at the moment, always just near my ear!
