Awake around 7; fannied about til 9 then dragged her out shopping in the sleet and snow; we needed dinner party bits.
Duck and mango curry with chapattis
White fish (I think we ended up with haddock) in the caper / coriander / lime/ tomato / olive sauce with sautéed new potatoes and pak choy.
A sort of chocolate roulade with pears and cream for filling and a hot chocolate sauce - with candles in honor of both Ben and Nicola's recent birthdays

So after shopping in three different emporia, to hers to collect her bike; she had a filthy sleety ride down Dundas St to mine;

Then an afternoon of cleaning tidying cooking.

Guest arrived, we ate, we drank we insulted each other, we laughed, we reflected and eventually we all collapsed or went home.

(I popped out at 4.30 in the fading light to get natural yoghurt to go with the curry - saw this at the back of Untied Wire and  the blip was done for the day)
