Z0MG TWO YEARS!!1!11

Two years on Blip today! (allowing for the leap year; my first entry was actually the 13th of July 2010). And if I'm to be pedantic, the start of my daily photography was 2 months earlier, on the 12th of May 2010; I was posting on Flickr until nickynocky pulled me over to Blip.

So, why this photo? Because Wednesday. - And because on Wednesdays I walk Mstr 5 to daycare. There are a few things represented in this photo for me though. First is the fact that with the change of job at the end of last year I was able to start walking to daycare with my son once a week, which is fabulous. Second is that I used my Pentax 50mm lens, which required (and still requires) a step up in skill and thought compared to my standard Lumix autofocus lens. Third is that my journal has been (or at least seemed) massively B&W lately (today being no exception). So all up this photo represents a bit of where I'm at.

I'd like to thank everyone who actually visits my journal - especially for putting up with the long stretches when I'm crap at reciprocating. (Sorry!) I'm really pleased to have met recently with quite a group of blippers, which increased the "community" feeling of it all - and spurred my most recent attempt to be less unreciprocating. As it were. I sometimes (often...) feel I'm trying to squeeze in too many things to my time. But then I realise that's probably what it's all actually about, and as long as I consistently have time for the most important (family) it doesn't really matter if everything else (music, photography, reading, tweeting, blogging, blah-blah) goes in fits and starts.

Which is perhaps also represented in a way by this photo of my lad.

Here's to a few more years. ^_^
