Growing old disgracefully

UNDERESTIMATION

I'm guilty of underestimation.

Sometimes I underestimate people, but more often I underestimate the time things will take, how much things cost, the effort involved and the value of some places including - until today - Inchinnan.  I've been dismissive of this wee place at the end of the runway and visited it only to watch the aircraft take off and land.  There on business today my eyes were opened.  Who knew that Inchinnan was home to St Conval's chariot, a massive chunk of hollowed out stone in which he sat quietly and presumably with dignity while it floated over the Irish Sea, up the Clyde estuary and thence to the River Cart landing at what is now Inchinnan.

No dignified sitting for me today - I was speed networking, gaining some useful contacts for the business.  Off out soon for an evening class.

Isn't the return of the sun amazing?  I keep wanting to fling up my arms in the air and greet it with joy.  But you already knew I was off my chump.
