Biker Grove

Woke up this morning to clear skies so decided we wanted a day cycling. Got into town and found a couple and also noticed that you could go boating on the lake so we did. This involved a kiddie-sized pedalo that we had a very entertaining time with. Paul was not kiddie-sized so he got out of doing any peddling and instead enjoyed saying, ?come on wife?.hurry up!? Was very entertaining as we took 15mins to get to the first bridge upstream and on our return did the whole length in 5mins due to quite a strong current.

We then hoped on our bikes and this is where the fun began. You get such a different perspective on bikes and can go to loads of different places?.we had a great time! We started by going to the tea museum which was very interesting, then back to town for lunch then off a side road to some hidden villages which were stunning.

The scenes were like something out of the ?Shire? as the quaint little iron-roofed planters-cottages seemed to be tucked away into the carpet of plantations. As we cycled through it was ?home time? from some local school so we got a lot of attention being on the bikes and were high-fived by too many smiling faces to mention. We leave Munar with very fond memories and probably wish we had an extra day hiking here?.oh well an excuse to come back one day maybe!
