Hellebores

...at the Stonehouse community centre, where I was studying poetry of the 1950s.Allen Ginsberg's America, in particular.... Hellebores haven't changed that much, so I nipped out during the break for a quick phone snap. The tutor wandered past and made a remark about roses in the closet. I riposted that I thought roses were of the 'bread and roses' Socialist variety.
