More of the Same

The wind has howled 
all night and day
all day and night

And still it blows
while the rain pours
and more rain pours

Till one brief break of sun
bursts through the clouds
and spins a rainbow

Spins a rainbow 
across the sky
where the wind still howls

And still it blows
and still it rains
all day and night

Meanwhile, with the wind gusting to over 70 mph overnight, we have one fence panel down, a pile of six garden chairs were scattered, a tub of logs bowled over and all the crocuses flattened. It's not stopped blowing all day. Popped out just to Dartmouth and back cos we were going stir-crazy, and caught this sunburst on the way home, as well as a rainbow (see Extra). Hope it's not blowing this wildly a week today or our plane will never take off.
