More Geography lessons today.

First, we headed out on the bike at 8ish, and discovered that we do have a local beach, just at the head of Granton Pier, and quite big when the tide is out.  By the time we had had a quick walk the promised weather was coming in, so home up the hill against the wind as quick as we could. 

Some fun messing, including doing some painting (the art kind) in the kitchen.  The results are okay, but I was more amused catching her painting her own feet.

In the afternoon, we walked with the buggy to the Gallery of Modern Art.  I thought it would be miles, but actually just around 40 minutes, and that was uphill in a stiff breeze.   

I keep seeing this view from the other side.  It's an amazing sight in the morning.  Less so from the top of the hill, but nonetheless...
