A TranzAlpine Scene

Having had a brief overnight stop in Christchurch we caught the TranzAlpine train to Greymouth, reported to be one of the world's top scenic train journeys, and I can we'll see why.
The mountain scenes were spectacular, there were rivers, lakes and pastures and it was difficult to chose a blip as I had spent much of the journey in the open viewing carriage.( don't worry Peebz no H & S rules were broken!)
In the end I chose this one as it combined mountains, lakes, trees and animals!
Another hire car picked up at Greymouth we drove North to see Punakaiki with its famous Pancake rocks and then back to Hokitiki for our B & B.
