From Porthminster

We have a poster in the bathroom of the house where we're staying and I figured that the view must be pretty much what you're looking at here. Of course painters have the opportunity to shift distances and perspective and obtain compression that can't be done with a camera.

It's been thrashing down with rain all day with very little remission. At half past three it slackened off enough to see the harbour so I thought I'd pop out for an hour. Unfortunately, it was only half an hour before the heavens opened ferociously again. At least I got out for a bit of fresh air!
