Away day - and night

We are staying at this gorgeous mansion hotel at Port Lympne wildlife reserve. After a safari trip around the wild animal park and a long walk seeing the other animals, we are now in our beautiful room overlooking the spectacular gardens, having a glass of bubbly and thinking about our dinner

John aspinall used to live in this house ,which was recently converted to a hotel with only six rooms. The decor is amazing and has retained its 1920s interior.

The aspinall foundation has a very successful programme of reintroducing animals back to their native environments and actively support breeding programnes and conservation of wild animals in their own countries.

I hate the whole concept of zoos but port lympne is doing such a lot to protect endangered species.
