Spoilt for choice!

There has been some beautiful light today ..  this morning I headed to Kilnsea/Spurn where it was very quiet - but I saw two lovely little egrets grazing in a field, and a little kingfisher fishing in a drainage ditch.

It clouded over so I went home for lunch - but then the golden sun suddenly appeared and I dashed out to make the most of my last (probably!) day of freedom. I saw six hunting barn owls (not hunting in a pack - separately! ;-) ), a stonechat (not so common around here) and a hunting kestrel. There was also a short eared owl hunting at dusk (quite late for a SEO, I'd have thought?)

I haven't heard from the rescue lady, so am dithering about ordering a chicken run - I need it to be here and put together before Benji arrives - but a) I don't know if it'll be acceptable and b) I don't know if Benji will be allowed to live with me

He's in Essex and I'm in East Yorkshire. That could be a problem, but I need to repatriate him, asap ...
