When the red red robin ....
.... comes bob bob bobbin' along along
There'll be no more sobbin' when he starts throbbin' his old sweet song
Wake up wake up you sleepy head get up get up get out of bed
Cheer up cheer up the sun is red live love laugh and be happy!
The Chirp is in fine voice at the moment and very very busy - rivals, ladies, territories to sort out - but he still has time to nip down and take a few mealworms. Here he is looking rather adorable on top of the wheelie bin.
What a good film last night - Tangerines . Set somewhere rather beautiful and obscure with two tangerine farmers caught up in the middle of a very local war between Georgians and Chechens sometime in the 1990. A local ambush left everyone dead except for one Georgian and one Chechen who were taken in by the farmer who remained stoically neutral and nursed them back to health. A slow and gentle pace which dealt so well with the futility and stupidity of war. Recommended.
The excitement re IHWM continues. Wells uploaded from Northumberland, Aberdeenshire, and Greece. If you tag holywell it brings up quite a lot of older posts, mainly by Jaxter46 who seems to have stopped blipping sadly. Can I ask you to also tag any well pix with IHWM then those will be specific to the challenge. Some back tagging might be in order.
We're off to Blarney for a few days! There's a talk being given there by Tarquin Blake who has produced some excellent books on Abandoned Ireland. It's quite a hike so we shall stay up and do a bit of exploring. Yes, holy wells might be involved and no, I won't be kissing the Blarney stone - I've heard too many very unhygienic stories about that! Catch up on my return and good luck with the well hunting.
And a spot of very mellow Bing
