3 Bob Challenge: Alphabet: Z: (In the) Zone
Having a bit of a free morning, I decided to go get a lungful of horse. I find being around horses is a bit like being 'in the zone'. Quite meditative. Definitely good for the soul.
As Debby & George trooped off to get haylage I thought I'd take Mercy for a spin, thinking she'd appreciate it more than any of the others. Off we went, Mercy certainly enjoying the ride and quite keen to get a wiggle on. We rode up past the reservoir and then towards the heathery hill overlooking Hoy. There is a wide, shallow ditch that we usually walk across, today however, Mercy saw fit to leap it like a gazelle. Then buck like a prize bronco. Thankfully, the deep, boggy heather was rather like a mattress on landing. We then played mind games as I tried to catch her across the hill, her staying just out of reach. I think I heard her laughing at me at one point. Finally recaptured, she looked at me as though to say 'wasn't that just the most fun ever!?' Back aboard I informed her what a cranky old thing she was. She agreed and we headed home, a glint still in her eye.
Back with Mr P, we walked the dogs at Warebeth (after he had tutted and mumped about me crashing horses again).
And so we reach the end of the 3BobAlphabet challenge. It's flown by. Well done me, Bob, Bob & Bob.
