We had a decent coffee and a toastie at Costa before heading north - it was extremely wild and windy, with occasional sharp showers of rain alternating with bright sunshine. We used the A19 again and then to Edinburgh via Coldstream, which I hoped might feature fewer large trucks getting blown over than might the A1.

The rainbow was from somewhere in Yorkshire, I think, although it reappeared several times before we got home. Apparently the worst of the storm is yet to hit Scotland, so it's time to batten down the hatches.
