G is for Golf

Continuing the Alpha(Bet) males - The life in my men in my life - July challenge,

G is for Golf.

Even if you look carefully, you probably won't be able to see my ball.
I couldn't.
I was lost in a bit of rough!

With balls and holes, golf seems the ideal sport for a woman looking for the perfect partner.

Golf is probably the only sport I could have excelled at, I have played around with a lot of men, yet so far, all have been below par and none have been up to scratch. To date I haven't even managed a hole in one.

G is also for Graeme.

I played with Graeme, a canny Scottish golfer on a corporate day. Graeme was of the opinion that women should be confined to the kitchen, not let loose on the golf course. When he refused to shake hands with me on the first tee, it made me all the more determined to play well.

He didn't speak to me throughout the game, so I was delighted when I beat him on the last hole.
Afterwards Graeme shook me by the hand and said: "If I ever have to play with a woman again....."


" I hope it is you!" I took that as a compliment.

We sat next to each other later, at dinner, throughout which he was charming, but needless to say his overtures fell on deaf ears!.
