women's flat track roller derby brings together the most interesting group of weirdos that one could ever hope for. sitting trackside really enhances the weirdness and makes you realize that there's nothing fake about it. the elbows are real and the hard concrete floor is definitely real.

what a night...the doubleheader resulted in wins for both the carolina bootleggers and the carolina all-stars. that combined with a ncsu win over unc...well, it just doesn't get much better than that.
