Today is the first day since I took mum into the care home that I felt I had any energy at all, and have actually done Useful Things!

Nothing of any note - but I'm glad to have done a general tidy up and hung some of the paintings I recently framed.

I popped out this afternoon and saw a total of three barn owls and a short eared owl - but none at close quarters.

No word from any of the dog homes - I'm hoping they'll ring tomorrow - thank you for all your thoughts on the dog front, it's very useful.

I really, really hope I can rehome the little old Yorkie .. but who knows ..
