Chai wallah!
There are always surprises in Bristol!
One was the sun and bright blue but very cold skies this morning and the other was coming across this mobile Chai stall at the bottom of Stokes Croft as we walked into the city centre.
It was perfect for a cold day and I have to say the best chai I have had since drinking it in India. It had a real spice kick to it too. ( I liked the shadows we created too so didn't crop them out - the young lady was playing her guitar).
We got the ferry by the Watershed across to the M Shed, Bristol's most recent museum and went into the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition. It is directed and produced by the Natural History Museum and there was some amazing work. I was lucky enough to see it last year at the Bristol Museum at the top of Park Street next to the University. I bought a post card of my favourite then but this time couldn't choose. The overall winner was a bit too raw for me - a Red Fox which had caught an Arctic Fox and was dragging away the remains across the snow!
We followed this by having tapas for lunch overlooking the harbour side.
Visiting Bristol always involves lots of eating. Tonight we are treating everyone to a Thali in Montpelier for Grace' s birthday next week. There will probably be the odd drink or too as well.
Cheers everybody!
