In My World

Companions on the Clothesline

Over the weekend I spent so much time out and about taking photos, and enjoying the winter sun, that I had to spend most of the day at home today, to catch up on household chores.

I really don't think I could have found anything great to blip today, as the rain returned this afternoon and the lighting everywhere was extremely dull.

This afternoon, a number of kookaburras came to visit, asking for food, and in return, posed on my clothesline for another photo session.

I haven't worked out yet if kookaburras are the ultimate posers, or if they are puzzling over the strange contraption I am always holding up in front of them, that goes click!

A friend in the USA told me that she hadn't heard the laugh of a kookaburra, so I found this link for her. It goes for around a minute, and will give overseas blippers an idea of what little characters these gorgeous birds are.
