Cranking up the barbie

Tonight I tried out a bbq stir fry basket I've had for years. I used to take it camping along with a charcoal bbq.

I miss the smell and taste of a charcoal fire but I'm learning you can cook with a bit of smoke using gas. The result was good, next time I just need to blanch the beans a little longer first.

We had an unpleasant jolt this afternoon. I wondered how Benedict would be. I don't know but he was none the worse when I got home. He surprised me with his unfazed attitude when the appliance repair man arrived. He just chilled, there was no running away and hiding.

I have a bbq to clean, dishes to do, photos from last weekend to process, and bed needs to happen at a reasonable hour. I'd better get on with it.
