July Challenge - E(2) - Elegance

Take one public park, add a month's worth of rain in a day or so, mix in the town's 2 biggest annual events, rescheduled to coincide with the arrival of the Olympic Torch, add some special events and what do you get? - Mud, but that begins with M, not E.

So we have some of the elegant footwear worn by the intrepid citizens of Luton, who weren't going to let minor details like atrocious weather spoil their fun.

A bit of a back blip today.

Friday night saw a concert with 'The Wanted' headlining (I didn't go to that one), Saturday had many events around the town, music and dance stages all over the town centre and the main concert in the evening had Olly Murs headlining. I will admit to having to go to Wikipedia to find out who he was (one of the pleasures of not watching TV is that you don't get drawn in to things like the X Factor).

But I chose this shot of the footwear (partly because I'm still downloading the pictures from Saturday, but also as I took it for Blip). I will (eventually) put some of the pictures up on facebook and put a link in here, Saturday I took a mere 900, so a little editing to be done there first.
