Tiny Tuesday: Miniature Jointed Teddy

As regular readers of my blips might guess, I'm very fond of teddy bears (and so is my Mum).  This mini-ted has fully movable head, arms and legs - and a tiny little ribbon tied around his neck, in the best teddy bear tradition.

My niece came over today, having had to stay away for the past two or three weeks because she's had a very nasty cold and didn't want to chance giving it to Mum.  She's on the mend now, but is left with a cough which just won't go away.  We went out for lunch with Mum, followed by a quick look in one or two shops in Tiptree.  I found a copy of 'The Miniaturist' by Jessie Burton for 50p in the St Helena Hospice shop.  My friend Sarah, who started our Chesham ladies' book club in early 2010, recommended this book as a good read.  After putting it to the vote along with a couple of other books on her shortlist, sadly this one wasn't picked by the majority of the group, so I'm pleased to have the chance to read it now anyway.
